[1.8.1] Glitch in the display pages

LEB

Recommended Posts

The following glitch is present since several versions of Affinity Publisher on Mac:

  • click on a master page in the Master Pages panel
  • click on the first page in the Pages panel (I could not reproduce it by clicking other pages)
  • a white area will appear in the main view between the bottom part of page 1 and the top part of page 2
  • this glitch will disappear when scrolling or doing other actions

That looks like an issue related to display, so it may be useful to know which display API is selected (example: OpenGL or Metal). In my test, I was able to reproduce something that I take for similar when I set my display as OpenGL (Basic). I think OpenGL (Basic) has some redrawing issues. Here is a brief recording (look at the area to the left of the cover page):

This only occurs with OpenGL (Basic). Perhaps it's just a limitation of OpenGL basic.

This was in 1.8.2.619 on macOS 10.14.6. Video card is Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB. I have attached the sample file I used.
