Acki Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Hi Affinity, first of all, I'm very sorry for my rusty english. :( I'm trying to create some icons for my buttons in my wpf application but the most of them are blurry even a straight line (the target size of this icon is 32x32 pixel). I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is. Could someone pls push me in the right direction? Thanks, Christian document_template.afdesign document_template.svg Quote
Old Bruce Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Has to do with the dimensions of the objects not being multiples of 32. That is the amount you are shrinking the document by. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Acki Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 Hi, thank you very much for your quick response. I‘ve tried both the „Force pixel alignment & whole pixel movement“ and also set the dimension of the rectangle to 224x224. Nothing worked. Quote

You must check object/line position. 6 hours ago, BofG said: to make sure the x,y are whole numbers. And set showing precision (decimal places) in Preferences, UI options. I haven't known that I've to also put an eye on the position of my objects within the document. A rectangle with the dimensions 244x244 and a position x:576, y: 640 is absolutely sharp! 9 hours ago, Pšenda said: And set showing precision (decimal places) in Preferences, UI options. Sry, but I don't know what you mean with!? Shall I set the precision (decimal places) of the pixel alignment to zero? Quote

If you need to check the exact position of objects, that they are really placed in whole pixels, so it is useful to see other decimal places. Affinity works with high decimal precision, but then rounds it up to display the values (according to the preferences you specify). Therefore, it is better to see more decimal places for accurate work. R C-R Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 @Acki, you can set the displayed decimal places in Preferences > User Interface: This only affects what the interface displays. Internally, the maximum precision of the apps is always used, equivalent to about 8 decimal places.
