I was able to place the AD file in APu, edited in AD and saved as .afdesign file. Beta AD 1.9.4.1085 crashed at once opening the document. I don't know if it is a problem that there were two Artboards named Page 3.

@carl123

No, don't upload into the forum. Can you use a WeTransfer link? So the link will be expired in few days.

I also have an issue with a corrupted file - is there anyway to fix this. A file was sent to me from a collegue and i can't open the file.

You can upload the file to the forum to see if someone can fix it or if it is private, create a new thread and ask (in your post) one of the moderators for a private dropbox link

Sorry, but really a very unreasonable workflow. Whatever the cause of the file corruption, because anything can fail at any time.

Can you repair it or not? I know I did a mistake, but I am here not for judgement. I am here for help.

It was not clear from your post.
On the contrary, it seemed as if you considered not making backups to be the "right" workflow. That is why I wrote you my reaction, because it is definitely not the "right" workflow.

I am working with affinity for 2 years now and it is my first corrupted file EVER. Why should I do backups? Affinity is not 3D Max and it always worked perfectly

You're helped because people on this forum are nice and help freely, but this doesn't mean you don't have to be nice also and follow sound advices.

Affinity fikes can be corrupted easily, and the recovery isn't always effective.

Never mind I already fixed it with: right click/properties/previous versions (windows 10) I hope it will help someone too.

Excellent advice.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

And btw I am not who started to be rude. I just defended myself.

Can you please explain me - who and when was "rude" to you? Thank you for answer.

By the way - "fixed it with: right click/properties/previous versions" this is exactly the backup (and possible restore) function performed by the OS for you.
