designer pdf missing an image file

Created a file in the latest Designer, export (with bleed) to PDF, one of the images files is missing.

Recreated the file, exported to PDF, still missing one image - same image both times.

Fortunately, I have Publisher, recreated the file in Publisher and exported successfully to PDF with bleed.

Thanks for the file Liz,

I've reproduced the issue here and it is very strange! I was able to get the image to appear by deleting the artboard (keeping objects), and then moving the images outside the layer, to the top of the Layers Panel. The first export like this failed to show the images, but I undid all the steps and repeated them and the second export had the image present! Whilst these steps worked on Windows, they didn't seem to work for me on Mac.

I will get this passed on to development to investigate!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Some objects get hidden in PDF Export using 'Masked by position') of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below.

The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts.

These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version.

Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.1/1.8.2 update/patch to all customers.
