Copy the pixel object from the CMYK / 8 file and paste it on the RGB / 8 file (the objects are corrupt) Change the type of color profile in CMYK / 8 and everything works correctly. If you right click each layer and select 'Rasterise' you should be able to paste those objects into RGB/8 documents without an issue, however there will be a slightly bit of loss of quality though.
