AlanPickup
Just checking whether it is my memory or something changed in 1.8 release. I am on windows 10 and if I create a eclipse or square that does not have any fill, but does have a stroke you can only select it on the page by clicking on the stroke, clicking on the middle does not select it. If it does not have fill or stroke you can only select in the layers panel, is this the way it has always been, apologies if previously raised. firstdefence
As far as I am aware yes are correct in your thinking. So, you can select via the layers panel, you can select by clicking on or near the objects edge whether it has a visible stroke or not. You can also select by left-clicking and dragging the cursor over the object. There is an option in Preferences to allow for partial selection of an object instead of fully encompassing the object with the selection area. Thanks for clarifying, it must have been the first time I have had an unfilled object or the upgrade to 1.8 may have change my preferences, again another senior moment but could you give exact location of the preference as I am not seeing anything about partial selection, should have also said I am referring to Designer and Publisher Quote Alan Pickup Windows 11 Home all Affinity suite of Apps PC and Gigabyte Laptop 16gb Ram and Nvidia GTX1660 Super on each.
