In the Adjustments panel on the right - the one with the long list of adjustment icons - about half way down is Shadows/Highlights.  Is that what you're looking for?

 

By moving the Highlight slider to the left, it does the highlight recovery thing. Moving it to the right brightens underexposed highlights.

Oh thank you ! Actually I have the french version of Affinity which talks about 'tons foncés / tons clairs'. It's not exactly the same as 'Shadows/Highlights' ! The translation from english to french is not proper.

That's why I was looking everywhere in the soft for it.
