Photonic Posted March 2, 2020 Share Posted March 2, 2020 I am having serious troubles on Windows 10 pro after the Designer 1.8 Update. Exporting and printing does not work anymore ... Initially I could save some files, but even that does not work with a new name. I all mentioned cases I don't see the save/export progress window and then the files have 0KB > that's disastrous! Could you attach a screen recording that demonstrates the steps you're taking that is causing the export, print and save issues please? Photonic Posted March 6, 2020 Author Share Posted March 6, 2020 Hi Sean, thank you for getting back to me. Well, I started with v1.8.0 where I continued to work on files from v1.7.3.481. Initially I could save (that's why those files are overwritten by 1.8 and the backup hadn't been triggered yet ;-( Then when I wanted to save under a different name the saving prompt did not show and the files where reduced to 0 KB. Today I downloaded v1.8.0.585 ... opening and saving seems to work, although the file size of the v1.8 version is significantly smaller: Exports don't work ..no export progress opening after selecting the output folder and filename .. no file showing up. With completely new files everything seems to work though. But this does not help me with the files locked in the buggy 1.8.0 version. I have tried to select all paths in the 1.7 version and copy them over to a newly created file in 1.8. As soon as I insert the paths from the old file I get the same erroneous behavior on the new file. Can you convert or downgrade v1.8 files to 1.7? Could I send you those files over? I've been able to reproduce the issue, and it appears as the issue has now been fixed in the latest beta available below. Both of your files export without issue in the beta for me.
