Hi irgi :)

I'm very sorry to hear you're unhappy with the latest updates - unfortunately through the Mac App Store it's not possible to 'roll-back' to a previous version, as Apple does not allow this.

You may be able to revert to a previous version using TimeMachine, but this is not something we directly recommend, my apologies.

I successfully rolled back to 1.7.3 yesterday using TimeMachine.
The steps I used were…
In the Applications folder I went back to the 1.7.3 version of Designer. Made a note of the date & time I went back to.  Then hit Restore.
Next I went to Designer’s “support” folder, for want of a better name for it.
Depending on where Designer was purchased it will be found in one of two possible locations:
Mac App Store version: /Users/user’s name/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner
Or here:
Serif Store version: /Users/user’s name/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer
I then Restored this folder from the same date & time as the actual app I just retrieved.
Note; any new projects made in 1.8+ or old ones saved in 1.8+ will not be readable by the restored 1.7 version.
And any new user content that may have been added whilst using the 1.8.+ versions will need to be re-added to the restored 1.7 version.

Thanks for this detailed instruction. Unfortunately i don't use Time Machine for backup. i use a NAS with RAID to store work documents.
