AAC
Hello, I recently upgraded to Photo 1.8. (Windows). Now, while working on a photo, using very simple tasks, I've found that I cannot apply any kind of sharpening on the image. Frequency separation, clarity, un-sharp-mask, nothing works. Am I doing something wrong? Only on this image, it seems. DSCF5778.afphoto Edited March 1, 2020 by AAC Additional info.
h_d
Hi @AAC I don't think it's you - I find exactly the same thing. And it's not just sharpening: Adjustments, Live Filters, Tone Mapping, brushes - nothing I do alters it in any way, even if I delete the extra layers and just apply edits to the Background layer. However, I exported it to .jpg and the exported version works as expected. My guess is that the file is corrupted, but maybe someone from Affinity can offer more insight. lepr
The document contains a Pixel Selection region of 32 x 3 pixels entirely outside of the canvas, so new filters will have no effect anywhere inside the canvas area. Open the document then press ctrl+d (Windows) or cmd+d (Mac) to deselect the Pixel Selection, and then you should get expected results when applying filters. h_d, Old Bruce and firstdefence
