I have withdrawn that macro 1.10 package. FWIW, on my Mac running macOS 1.15.7 & AP version 1.10.1, your old Change DPI 1.6.afmacros seem to be working fine for me & do not change the pixel count. The only odd thing about it is there is one unnamed macro that supposedly has 1 step but does nothing when I click on it & trying to edit it shows no steps: Other than that, I can't see anything wrong with it. I just downloaded the collection and tested the unnamed macro. It changed the DPI to 2000 just like the "DPI to 2000" macro does. However unlike the other macros, when I Edit>Undo, I get an "Undo Replay Macro?" prompt. Not sure why it's there but it appears to be editable and can be deleted as well. So I named it "Replay Macro DPI to 2000".
