Anybody else having problems with stroke filling in gaps between just not display correctly? This is just a font with outline. I have tried expanding the stroke and that did nothing to fix he problem. I cannot send files to printers because they are all having this behavior. This is killing my production! And-More.jpg.05d805859ffe562980b87e3783438703.jpg

@Husbandman

Yes, many have reported this bug / very poor implementation of expand stroke. This is where Designer and simple features stands after five solid (!!!) years of development. Affinity Designer is still not mature / suitable for production use I would say.

You are running Designer 1.8.0 - it is a terrible update - if you can, downgrade to version 1.7.3 and keep that for production use until Serif finally gets it right. You can monitor the output of the beta versions.

Be very aware that files saved from 1.8.0 cannot be opened by 1.7.3 anymore. Also a nightmare when this happens.

All the best

  • Not an Affinity user og forum user anymore. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.

@Jowday Yeah, I'm starting to worry about Designer's future after this update. In a full year, they brought bug fixes update that is actually more buggy. Looks like developing a Publisher was too much for Serif? I would gladly pay $100 a year(a la Sketch) for the Designer if that would fix all the bugs, and bring some of the most wanted features it lacks compared to the Illustrator.
