VARION Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Hello, since upgrading to Version 1.8 (Affinity Designer iPad) we are unable to export serveral (not all) files as PDF. This includes new files as well as old files created with AffDes 1.7/ iPad and below (had no issues exporting this files a few weeks before). When trying to export this files we always get stuck in the Export Persona with a spinning wheel and a grayed-out OK-Button. This happens on all iPads with the current version of Aff Des/ iPad as well as with a trial version of the desktop version we downloaded today (different behavior but same result - no export possible). The file size of the drawings is between 1.8 and 3 MB. We relly need help, because the files are very important. Thanks in advance VARION Quote
Paul Mudditt Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Try isolating the problem by turning off all layers and pdf exporting then turn on one at a time until it stops exporting. I found a problem in another design for someone else which could not pdf export this way. I tracked it down to a couple of curves and changed the advanced properties of the stroke until it worked. No idea why it was a problem but this fixed it. You could upload a problem afdesign file here for developers to look at too. VARION Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 Hi Paul, thanks for your reply - it helped a lot. We figured out which strokes were affected and managed to fix or redraw them. It seems to be a strange bug in the current version of AffDes/iPad. I hope there will be an update soon. But for now the fix works. Paul Mudditt 1 Quote
