How to revert back to 1.7.x on Mac/time machine – Designer

Did you keep the .dmg file from the 1.7.x download? If you did, just delete the new version and re-install the old one.

If you didn't keep it, you might find it in the Downloads folder in a Time Machine backup.

I bought it from Apple store – so I don't have dmg file. I'll edit the original post to reflect that. Thanks.

Apart from restoring the App's older version from Time Machine, does anybody know of any other files that needs restoring?

You may also need to restore some or all of the older per user folders in the ~/Library/Containers folder (the tilde & leading slash is shorthand for the Home folder for your user account) named in 'reverse URL'  notation, like com.seriflabs.affinityphoto, or com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner. (Note that for AP there may be several of them.)

All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7
Affinity Photo
1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7

Thank you – that worked.
