Broken Zoom Controls (Affinity Suite 1.8.1)

Recommended Posts

Have just installed the 1.8.1 updates for the entire Affinity Suite. All of the Zoom controls appear to be broken.

  • Double-clicking the Zoom Tool does not set the document zoom to 100%
  • Double-clicking the View Tool does not set the document to zoom to fit.
  • Selecting a zoom percentage from the contextual toolbar's Zoom pop-up menu does zoom the document, but the change is not accurately reflected in the Zoom slider.

The toolbars have been completely rewritten in the 1.8 development cycle (for various [exciting] reasons) and this zoom and Pan tool double-click functionality was something that the developer was not aware of and has missed out in the rewrite, sorry. We discovered this today (and in the process learnt these shortcuts existed ourselves in the QA team, as it was not something we had noted anywhere).

The context toolbar zoom control may be the same we will check tomorrow.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention we will try to get this functionality back swiftly
