ASG
I want to create a color palette on my computer that I can reuse over and over in different documents. I tried to "add a system palette" which creates an empty palette and I can name it but then as soon as I hit add a global color it switches it automatically to document palette and I can't figure out a way to get the color into the system palette. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? Thanks
walt.farrell
I believe that global colors are not available in System or Application palettes, only in Document palettes. Possibly because there's no way for Affinity to track the usage of global colors across different documents, or applications. And therefore, if you changed a global color in an Application or System palette, any documents that supposedly used that color would no longer match the proper color. ASG
So would I use "add registration color"? Seems like the only other option I have. Would that work on a systems palette?
walt.farrell
I would probably use Add Current Fill to Palette: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
