MAS Affinity Designer 1.8.0 problem

I updated Affinity Designer via the App Store and now undo and history are not working. (Original purchase via Affinity website). Undo is greyed out on drop down boxes and history shows no history.

According to 'About' tab on Affinity Designer I am using version 1.8.0 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.3

Please help!
