No History or Undo

I notice that when I try and Undo (which I do constantly) it does not work.

1. When i hit Command Z i get an error sound.

2. When i go to Edit/Undo the undo is greyed out.

3. When I open the history, it is blank.

We have released another update to address this issue you should be able to download 1.8.1 from the same place you downloaded 1.8.

Haha – and us AppStore users will have to wait until … when exactly?

Launch the AppStore, search for Designer and click through. You should see an Update button. Worked for me last night on the UK AppStore.
