angiehubbard
(Full disclosure - I'm brand brand new to photo editing) How can I turn most of the picture B/W but leave one subject in color?
anon1
There are many possibilities. I just recorded one which I think is very versatile. Notes: We create a BW layer and create a mask. Black blocks and white lets stuff shine through. So where I paint black ON THE MASK, the BW effect is not visible. + alt click on a mask only shows the mask + shift click on the mask activates/ deactivates the mask - also grayscales are possible, not only BW. For example you can use a gradient on the mask to make the bottom colored and the top BW and in between it fades. And sorry for the disastrous 420p, you can only roughly see what I do but I can´t upload files with more than 20MB and 720p would be 32MB... I attached a second, shortened version with 720p Very good question! I hope I explained it suitable for you!
