DRM Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 The instructions distributed to update to 1.8 say that if you bought Photo from Affinity it would check for updates when the program is opened. This did not work in my case. However, after logging in to my Affinity account I was able to download the new version. Quote
Staff Lee D Posted February 27, 2020 Staff Posted February 27, 2020 The auto update on the server wasn't working as it should but should be now. 😉 Quote
jdomainer Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 When I go to the download page for Windows update 1.8, my Virus software says the site is suspicious and doesn't recommend I continue. see below.... Quote
emmrecs01 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 @jdomainer As evidenced from this forum, a very considerable number of users, me included, have downloaded the update from the Serif server and I/we have seen no problems of the type listed on that page! (I do run a very "efficient" antivirus and firewall.) So, I think you can safely ignore the warning and perhaps contact Malwarebytes and suggest they are showing a false positive?
