Use stacking to create a multiple person illusion

Recommended Posts

I’ve been trying to use stacking to create an illusion of the same person being in the image multiple times.

lets say I have two photos, same camera position and settings. in each photo a person is in two different positions in the frame.
Then I want to merge the two photos so I have one, where the person is in both places.

I thought I could perhaps use stacks to do this (kinda the inverse of removing people with stacking)

I can’t seem to make it work. Is it possible or is masking the only way?

Thanks.

I haven’t tried it but Help file suggests Creative Stacking may give you the result you seek as it adds differences rather than removing them.
