hashms0a
There is a lag when I am using the brush tool in AD v1.8. My Wacom drivers are up to date. I tried AD in another PC with an older Wacom Intuos 3 and also has this lag. When I draw fast the lag is no more. AD.mp4

Martyw
I too also have a problem in AD after updating to version 1.8, when I start to use my pen to draw I have a lag of about a fraction of a sec after the pen has drawn a line etc this has left me unable to use Afinity designer and photo! Where do I go on from here? hashms0a and lynzrand

You need to enable Windows Ink to receive pressure.
Martyw
I've now discovered that in persona not all but some brushes now run slow and almost stall ,my PC screen keyboard now pops up when I'm moving layers around,I bought Affinity designer and photo 3 weeks ago and in doing so I purchased a ton of brushes which I'm now unable to use due to pen lag,and arrange of issues,I thought finally I can give up illustrator and actually pay a one off for a drawing ,photo app! But in doing so I find affinity is a lemon to many many people including myself due to this great update v1.8,I'm very much over it and almost come to the point of not even logging on because it's a pain in the arse. It doesn't look good for affinity makers when someone buys a product and it fails due to a update! Not a happy customer!!

StuartRc
Hi I was just reading the Martyw thread above...and had an issue with the screen keyboard yesterday!... Overall the brushes are working fine for me but when I activated Windows Ink... everytime I tried to edit the brush dynamics (input fields) post Windows Ink activation the screen keyboard would just popup.. I was not sure whether it was Windows or Designer...So...I managed to destroy it with 'Services' after trying combinations of typing/keyboard/wacom settings Noticed that it occurred when you selected in the input field but after the text...If you clicked on just the text and edited it with the Wacom Pen the keyboard did not appear! I had the situation where Windows Ink =active but Windows options (typing + Keyboard) were all off...but still the screen keyboard kept displaying Ultimately I resorted to Disabling the options under services in Windows..that fixed it!...by murdering a windows services function... Mark Ingram
I believe I've solved the problem with input lag when using Windows Ink. I've put in a fix now, which should be available in the next customer beta. Chris B and hashms0a 1
