I just updated to the newest release of Designer, and the View Tool no longer zooms the document to fit the screen upon double-click. Is there a way to get this function back in settings, or a keyboard shortcut to replace it?

Hi Danie :)

Thanks for your report - I can confirm this appears to be an issue in all Mac Affinity apps, so I'll get this logged as a bug with our developers now.

In the meantime, you can either use the Keyboard shortcuts, or right-click in the document with the Zoom/View tool selected to open a quick action menu with these options.

I hope this helps!

Dan, on Windows I don’t get a contextual menu when I right-click on the canvas while using the View Tool. I get one with the Zoom Tool but not with the View Tool. Should I see a menu after a right-click with the View Tool?

The Windows part of this thread (Right click with View (Pan) Tool does not open a context menu, unlike Mac) is solved in the latest 1.8.x beta builds

Which application are you using and on which OS?

With Designer 1.8.1.611 (beta) on Windows (for me at least):
* double-clicking on the View Tool zooms to FIT;
* double-clicking on the Zoom Tool zooms to 100%;
* right-clicking on the canvas with either tool brings up a contextual menu.

If that’s not what’s happening for you – and you’re using the latest beta, where it’s been fixed – can you attach a video of what happens?
