Danie Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 I just updated to the newest release of Designer, and the View Tool no longer zooms the document to fit the screen upon double-click. Is there a way to get this function back in settings, or a keyboard shortcut to replace it? Quote
G13RL Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 On Windows the double-click always works, you can try "Ctrl/Cmd + 0". Danie 1 Quote
Dan C Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Hi Danie Thanks for your report - I can confirm this appears to be an issue in all Mac Affinity apps, so I'll get this logged as a bug with our developers now. In the meantime, you can either use the Keyboard shortcuts, or right-click in the document with the Zoom/View tool selected to open a quick action menu with these options. I hope this helps! GarryP Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 4 minutes ago, Dan C said: right-click in the document with the Zoom/View tool selected to open a quick action menu Dan, on Windows I don’t get a contextual menu when I right-click on the canvas while using the View Tool. I get one with the Zoom Tool but not with the View Tool. Should I see a menu after a right-click with the View Tool? Quote
Dan C Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Thanks for that Gary, I can confirm that AFAIK it should be possible on Windows as well as Mac - so I'll log this separately GarryP 1 Quote
Staff Patrick Connor Posted March 15, 2020 Staff Posted March 15, 2020 The Windows part of this thread (Right click with View (Pan) Tool does not open a context menu, unlike Mac) is solved in the latest 1.8.x beta builds GarryP 1 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! Willy Pimentel Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 the same thing is happening to me. Zoom tool and hand tool are not working when you double click on them Quote Willy PimentelM1 Imac 16gb Mac os Ventura Latest
GarryP Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Which application are you using and on which OS? With Designer 1.8.1.611 (beta) on Windows (for me at least): * double-clicking on the View Tool zooms to FIT; * double-clicking on the Zoom Tool zooms to 100%; * right-clicking on the canvas with either tool brings up a contextual menu. If that’s not what’s happening for you – and you’re using the latest beta, where it’s been fixed – can you attach a video of what happens? Quote
Staff MEB Posted March 16, 2020 Staff Posted March 16, 2020 Hi Willy Pimentel, This was partially fixed in the latest Customer Beta on Mac. Double-clicking the Zoom Tool sets the zoom to 100% however double-clicking the View Tool does the same things instead of fitting to screen. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
