clipping path function?

hello
as im moving from ps 2020 to affinity, im looking desperatly to understand where and hos is on affinity the whle clipping path options.
i use them a lot in ps for work, but can't find it on affinity.
thanx a lot fo the information

ps  plus not having the chanche to transform clippint path in to selections etc etc

Hi Marco M,

Welcome to the forums :)

You could use the Pen Tool in Affinity Photo to draw your path then towards the top left of the app on the context tool bar hit selection then mask the layer you are trying to clip to your selection.

You might want to take a step back and ask what you need the clipping paths for.
Take the attached video as an example where, in Publisher, a clipping mask has been applied to an image.
With the right Text Flow options applied to the image, the text will flow without needed a clipping path in the image itself.
Also, the attached image shows that you can get text to follow an already-isolated shape, again without a clipping path.
Your requirements may be for something else but it’s worth thinking about whether you need clipping paths for what you want to do.
