Michael46 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 I have just updated to Publisher 1.8 on Windows 10. I am trying to produce a leaflet for a company called 'MG Piano'. Whenever I type that company name into a text frame the whole program crashes. It usually happens when I get to the 'P'. So far it has happened every time I have tried it - at least five documents, including a blank unsaved new document. Do you have any ideas? Is it a keyboard shortcut for something? Quote
PaulEC Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Have you tried using different fonts to see if it only happens with a particular font? Michael46 Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 I have tried different fonts. It still crashes. Quote
Staff Jon P Posted February 26, 2020 Staff Posted February 26, 2020 Can you zip up and upload the %Appdata%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\ folder please. Also, if you disable all entries in auto correct does it help? I type in the same company name and it seems alright for me here. Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
Michael46 Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 Here is the zip file you asked for. When I try to access Edit/Preferences the program locks and I can't do anything on it. CrashReports.zip Quote
Staff Jon P Posted February 26, 2020 Staff Posted February 26, 2020 Do you mind just going one folder up and attaching the whole folder? (the 1.0 folder) I suspect if you hold CTRL and run the program up and tick all the boxes to reset it that should resolve it, but can you upload the above folder before doing so. Thanks Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
Michael46 Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 Here is the 1.0 folder 1.0.zip Quote
Michael46 Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 It is working now. Thank you for your help. I hope it won't start happening again. Quote
Staff Jon P Posted February 26, 2020 Staff Posted February 26, 2020 I appreciate you sending me the settings, it will help us track down what might have happened. Let me know if it happens again Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
