hello,

I plan to change the computer platform, because I’m more and more dissatisfied with APPLE and MacOS; I dislike proprietary or closed Systems, and APPLE appears to perfect

that with the change from Intel- to ARM-processors. By the way I can’t find a new expandable APPLE computer for a reasonable price.

I still use a Mac Pro 5,1 with Radeon RX 580  and all AFFINITY apps with Mojave.

Now, after AMD offers really powerful CPUs, I plan my first WINDOWS-PC, and I like to know which graphic-card is necessary at least or "comfortable" to work on with AFFINITY apps on WINDOWS.

Do the AFFINITY apps use or support NVIDIAs "CUDA"; is there a beneficial effect on using NVIDIAcards? Are AMDcards useful too?

thanks for your replies, Jens

Hi Yancire,

As long as your GPU meets our minimum requirement of Being compatible with Direct X 10 it should work fine. We don't utilise the GPU as much as other components so the rest of the cards specs don't make as much difference. :)

Thanks

C
