Dan C Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Hi Colin Hubbard Sorry to hear you're having trouble updating - I'm going to need an installer log to investigate this. Please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK: %temp%\AffinitySetup In the window that opens, please select the most recently created folder, then attach SetupUI.log to your reply here. Many thanks in advance! Quote

Dan C Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Thanks for that Colin, this shows the following error - +Error: There is not enough space on the disk. Please make sure to clear enough space on your hard drive for the installation, then try running the updater again. I hope this helps! Quote
Colin Hubbard Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 Thanks. I saw that message and checked the C drive. I've just had a big Windows 10 update and there's a folder called 'Windows Old' which takes 20mb. Can I simply delete this? Quote
Dan C Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Unfortunately I'm not familiar with this file/folder and I wouldn't want to advise on something when I'm unsure of the consequences. It's likely however that you'll require more than 20mb more of free space to install the update, so I would recommend looking elsewhere for files you can comfortably 'clean up'. Quote

Colin Hubbard Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 For anybody else with the same problem this did the trick: In the search box on the taskbar, type settings, then choose it from the list of results. Select System > Storage > This PC and then scroll down the list and choose Temporary files. Under Remove temporary files, select the Previous version of Windows check box and then choose Remove files. It takes a long time for 'Temporary Files' to list everything that can be safely deleted so don't think it's not working when nothing appears to happen. Quote
