sirshambling Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 First post here - please be gentle with me as I'm still in learning mode. On a new document I have placed a JPEG image which I have captioned with a small text frame. This looks fine. When I try to add a new larger text frame around the image with it's caption and activate any Word Wrap setting the caption disappears completely. I've tried using Arrange on the caption to keep it to the front of the page but this doesn't work either. No doubt I'm doing something simple wrong - please tell what this is. Thank you. John Quote
PaulEC Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Group the picture and the caption. Then apply the text wrapping settings to the group. (Square is probably the best setting to use.) walt.farrell Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @sirshambling. As PaulEC suggested, grouping the image and caption should work. And it's probably best as it ensures that the caption and image stay together. Alternatively, I think you could View > Studio > Text Frame, then select the caption, then set the Text Frame option to Ignore Text Wraps. That would not keep the caption and image together all the time, though.
