1.8 GM Macro studio category actions

Recommended Posts

The help file is a little confusing as it implies that it is possible to create an empty Category (correct) and to import a previously exported .afmacro file into this category.

There is currently no export macro option available.

While it is possible to create an empty category I cannot find a way to place a macro into it.

It is still possible to import .afmacros files.

Hey DM1,

You've raised a few good points here;

  1. I also cannot see the point of creating a custom category as I can't put anything into it—I'll check with the Photo lead to see if this should be removed for now.
  2. We should improve the Help and suggest that we can import macros exported from the desktop versions and not currently the iPad version.

THIS is the function I’m waiting for on the iPad, recording and exporting your own macros, one of the few reasons I have to return to desktop versions

You can drag macros into the category, and you can save macros you record to the category. Being able to *nest* one category within another so we could arrange them hierarchically would make macros much more convenient to use.
