Meanwhile, if you look at the Appearance studio panel (View > Studio > Appearance) you can add a second stroke to the artboard, and that one will show up. FWIW, the bug is still there in the latest Affinity Designer 1.8.0.5 beta for Mac, & the Appearance workaround works in it, too. Has the bug been reported for either OS?
