Subclavius Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 Affinity Photo 1.7.3.481/Windows 10 I was assigning the keyboard shortcut <ctrl>+<alt>+<f> (to New fill Layer) only to discover that it is duplicated. It apparently clashes with <Repeat Last Filter> but I cannot find that command in the User>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts menu to remove. The newly assinged shortcut works successfully as it overrides the <Repeat Last Filter> but it would be nice to be able to remove the pre-defined assingment (or assign that to another key combination). walt.farrell Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Interesting. Logically it should be under the Photo Persona, Filters menu, in the Keyboard Shortcuts. But I don't see it there, either, in either 1.7 or the 1.8 beta. Subclavius Posted February 24, 2020 Author Posted February 24, 2020 Digging a little further I found the following topic: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/60033-re-apply-a-filter/ from June 2018 which shows a picture of the Repeat last filter option. This appears to have been removed or left out of later versions Quote
PaulEC Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 "Repeat Last Filter" only appears after you use a filter that can be repeated. Subclavius Posted February 24, 2020 Author Posted February 24, 2020 Hello PaulEC, Thank you, that explains why I can't find it on the menu. The shortcut ought still, in my view, to be visible on the User>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts so it can be changed. Quote
PaulEC Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 You're right, it should! Maybe the problem is that it actually says Repeat "whatever the last filter was" and that's difficult for the developers to put in the shortcut list. I don't know, but maybe you'd have to have an entry for every filter? Personally I think it would be easier if it just said "Repeat last filter" and was greyed out if not available. Staff Chris B Posted February 28, 2020 Staff Posted February 28, 2020 I agree—this should be customisable. I'll ask the developers to see what they think. Actually, this looks like a bug as macOS has it. Logged with dev. Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Staff Patrick Connor Posted March 15, 2020 Staff Posted March 15, 2020 We have made fixes/improvements to this area ('Repeat' shortcut is missing from Keyboard Shortcuts in Preferences [Windows]) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts. Affinity Photo 1.8.1.611 for Windows Affinity Designer 1.8.1.611 for Windows Affinity Publisher 1.8.2.619 for Windows These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version. Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.1/1.8.2 update/patch to all customers. Subclavius Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 Thank you. I can confirm that the latest beta build (1.8.1.611) corrects the problem. Patrick Connor 1 Quote
