Robert Menke Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Hey all, I'm currently making my way through the Affinity Photo workbook. I'm on the project "London 2", which calls for the use of the sponge brush using HSL saturation. After not being able to find the HSL Saturation option I looked up some online Youtube tutorials and found that in their versions of Affinity it appears in the toolbar at the top of the editor. In my editor (see screenshot in link) this option is missing. Was this feature removed, moved, do I need to edit a setting, or is this a bug? https://imgur.com/T3ZLA0A Quote

The Sponge, Dodge & Burn tools need to have pixels to work, they do not work on an empty pixel layer. They are destructive so you might want to duplicate your background layer then select it, when the layer and the sponge tool are selected the saturation & vibrance options will be in the context toolbar at the top. Staff Lee D Posted February 21, 2020 Staff Posted February 21, 2020 The option is there, just not listed as HSL Saturation as the book indicates, however the Context Toolbar screenshot (PG231) shows which options to select Saturate & Saturation. Quote
R C-R Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Short version: the name of that brush mode button has been shortened from "HSL Saturation" to just "Saturation." ed209 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Just came to that bit in the book and have found it, Click the arrow after vibrance and HSL Saturation pops up Quote
