Further to my recent problem  regarding tutorial  on moving, scaling etc. my initial problem is now solved but now when I click on move tool I have a canvas underneath

the photo and the aspect ratio is reversed with the shift key (constrained / not constrained ) not as in Tutorial, what have I missed?

Also when I use the crop tool I get the FIBONACCI or GOLDEN SPIRAL symbol displayed on the image, what have I clicked by mistake!!?

For the shift key: By default in the Affinity applications, the aspect ratio is constrained automatically for some kinds of objects without using the Shift key, and unconstrained if you press Shift. For other kinds of objects, the aspect ratio is not constrained automatically, and using Shift will constrain it.

You can force consistent behavior by changing an option in Preferences, Tools:

Click on that pulldown to see your choices.

For the Crop Tool: Pressing the O (oh) key changes the style of overlay.
