lorenaustin Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I own two registrations and I am installing Publisher on a computer for my partner for which I purchased a second registration. By mistake I registered my serial number on their computer. I uninstalled but Affinity seems to store/remember the previous registration even if it was uninstalled. How do I get rid of it so I can register the program under the proper serial number? Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @lorenaustin. Assuming you're on Windows, and purchased from the Serif Affinity Store: Make sure Publisher is not running. Press the Windows key and R together. Type or paste the following into the Run box: %ProgramData%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0 Press OK. In the File Explorer window, delete the file license.xml or rename it to something else. Start Publisher, and it should prompt for the registration information. ConfGen Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Hi, sorry for hijacking this post, but I have nearly the same issue just with Photo. I have searched my c: drive and there is no license.xml file. Is it different for Photo than Publisher? Thanks Thomas Quote

If you're not finding the license.xml file, are you comfortable using regedit to update the Windows registry? That's where it's held, I believe, for applications first installed before release 1.7.
