My Time Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Hi, This is still in the UI and not working. Pretty disappointing. I've spent hours trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I guess I'll just have to stop using Affinity Quote
firstdefence Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Welcome to the forum, Draw a rectangle select the node tool Select a brush Adjust the width of the stroke and if required remove the fill If you want to have the brush wrap completely or at least tighter Convert the rectangle to Curves Select the node in the corner in the gap and use Break curve from the node tools context menu. Another option instead of step 7 is to adjust the brushes head and tail offsets. Continue to use Affinity 😉 Yes, this is Affinity Voodoo lol! My Time Posted February 17, 2020 Author Posted February 17, 2020 Thank you, but yes, this is Affinity Photo - still the same procedure? Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 1 hour ago, My Time said: Thank you, but yes, this is Affinity Photo - still the same procedure? That function is supported only for Vector brushes, and so is not applicable to Photo (which has only Raster brushes). (The item is probably present in the UI because you can Open a Designer file in Photo, and without the UI you would not be able to see the current settings, or remove them. But to update them, you need Designer.) firstdefence Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Ok, if using Affinity Photo why not just select a brush and draw a rectangle, or any shaped frame for that matter. I can't quite see what the issue is here since a frame can be drawn with a brush, any brush, you can layer them to get different effects, you can use them to create edge masks for rough edges, or stylised edges.
