Hello Affinity forum,

I have been struggling for countless hours trying to work out how to accurately export spot colours for print in Affinity Designer (v1.7.3.481).

No matter which PDF export settings I use, my assigned global spot colours are converted into CMYK. Here are screenshots of the test project inside Affinity, and my exported pdf. I'll also include the designer and pdf source files. Am I overlooking something obvious? I checked all the forum posts and tutorials I can find and no one else seems to be having this problem.

If you have a spare few minutes, some help would be greatly appreciated!

Export settings (doesn't matter which ICC Profile I use, spot colours are never "honoured".

The exported .pdf displays the colours of the inner boxes as identical (or almost identical depending on pdf viewer) as the outer boxes - the same issue regardless of PDF viewer, Acrobat included.

Thanks!

Greg

Just exporting the document as-is to pdf/x-3 will produce a proper pdf.

That said, I wouldn't expect the color conversions to match with a document designed this way.
