Deactivate apps before reinstallation?

Recommended Posts

I do not think there is any way to deactivate them. If you format your system drive just restore from Timemachine or redownload from Mac App Store. I guess you can reinstall also from Affinity store if you have that version, you should be able to log on to your account and access installer and serial number.

After your clean install,  you'll need to sign back in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the apps. You can then reinstall them: no need to deactivate first.

Similarly, if you sign in to the Affinity Store using the account you used to buy the app (most probably NOT the same id you use to log in to this forum), you can follow the links through My Account to Downloads and Product Keys to find the original product key for your purchase.

Affinity Photo 2.0.3,  Affinity Designer 2.0.3, Affinity Publisher 2.0.3, Mac OSX 13, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.

No, I just reformatted the HD then installed away from the Mac App Store (2) and the Affinity/Serif website (1) {and a bunch of other websites for everything else} for a lovely long weekend. Thanks for reminding me that I have too much stuff on here and should do so again soon.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
