Ref.: 2436b774-bde3-42a2-a7bd-bd879260ecca" ; many thanks for your help. I bought version 1.6.5.135 in 2018. I can provide the product key if necessary. It was only then, that the following message arrived: "Ein unerwarteter Ausnahmefehler ist eingetreten und das Programm kann nicht ausgeführt werden.... However, after opening the program for the first time, a small screen asking: " Wartungsvorgang auswählen: Reparieren Deinstallieren " (Choose procedure: Repair or uninstall). was displayed and when choosing "Reparieren" (repair) this procedure failed in so far, as , when again opening the program, the same small screen would pop us, giving the two options, to repair or to uninstall. I successfully downloaded the version affinity-photo-1.7.3.exe, and herewith I attach a snapshot of the screen shown after the small security check: I could not set up the version 1.7.3. Always when I open the previous version I am asked if I want to download 1.7.3 and the same procedure - downloading, security check, but finally the attached screen which stops a successful proceeding of the whole set up. I think it would be the same if I went through the same procedure with the designer, which I bought along with the photo programme. I could provide the product keys for both, if you need. I cannot open the new version, since everytime I get the screen (see screenshot) - after the repairprocedure, again a message saying that the set up was successful appears. Staff stokerg Posted February 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2020 Hi Bettina, Sorry for missing your reply. The error you now see is Repair or Uninstall, so that means the app is installed. It looks like you are clicking on the shortcut for the setup file and not the actual Affinity icon. Can you look on your Start Menu and you should see an option for Affinity Photo.
