baysmith Posted February 12, 2020 Share Posted February 12, 2020 I have a logo that has text on a circle. When I scale the circle with the text on it (part of a large group of nested circles) the text does not scale and it makes a large mess. I have to size the text on the circle to the target size first before I can resize the circle. This is very frustrating as the new logo is a large group of nested circles and other text that I want to be able to resize at will to whatever size my needs are. What am I missing? Or, is this the expected behaviour. My recollection of Illustrator is that this was not a problem and the text would resize with the circle. pekranodon Posted February 12, 2020 Share Posted February 12, 2020 Maybe I do not fully get the problem, but I tried the following minimal setup: I placed a simple circle on an empty document -> text tool to the outline, 20pt -> "some text". Now I can select the object using the Move tool (shortcut "v") and I get two handles in the bottom right corner: the inner one resizes the circle and the text stays at 20pt. G13RL Posted February 12, 2020 Share Posted February 12, 2020 @inspiredmac If you want a stamp (for example) with the bottom text readable without turning your head, type the top text, press "ENTER" and then type the bottom text. (You don't have to worry about the setting triangles). Take the "Text" tool, select the bottom text and adjust its base line to align with the top text.
