Blue Iguana Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Hi. I'm new to Affinity software (recent convert from InDesign) and am laying out my first project. The source file is an MS Word file. I removed the embedded graphics but retained the tables. I have a two-column layout for the texts, and I want the tables to take up the whole width of the margin (equivalent to 2 columns). So I want to cut the tables embedded in the texts, and paste them. Unfortunately, Publisher quits every time I paste the table. This is so frustrating! Any help would be appreciated. Staff Pauls Posted February 11, 2020 Staff Posted February 11, 2020 I've tried this in the beta version and the pasting crash appears to be fixed. You could try unpinning the table, moving/resizing it and then repinning if needs be Quote
Blue Iguana Posted February 12, 2020 Author Posted February 12, 2020 Thanks for your reply, @Pauls. It still quits even after doing what you suggested. But I found a workaround. I create a new, same-sized table as the one I want to cut, copy the original's contents, then paste them in the new one. Works flawlessly and no crashing! Just 3 steps more work though. Quote
