Camera Calibration DCP File import option.

Recommended Posts

I have a X rite colour chart, and i used their desktop calibration software (which is free) to calibrate my sony camera.

this normally defaults to Adobe lightroom and is added to their existing list of colour profiles like standard, portrait etc.

It would therefore be really useful to be able to add or import this into affinity photo. At the moment you only have ICC options.

adding this would make this program more competitive with lightroom and camera raw.

Just a thought, which might help until such time (if ever) as this function is available in Affinity Photo: There are converters (some free) for DCP to ICC. If you ran one of those against the DCP file you have, you should then be able to Open the files from your camera and Assign that ICC profile to your images.

Hi Walt,

I have already played with converters of this kind and the result is quite bad. Might as well do it yourself with good tools like lumariver for example.
XRite Camera Calibration generates ICC profiles for C1 that are a bit specific.
