chetko
I realize that this software appears to be a bargain for what it does, but when you are retired and live on a fixed income even a purchase of $40 has to be evaluated. I used to use photoshop but couldn't afford the constant upgrades and since I only shoot for fun it didn't make sense. It would be great to try and make sure I can use it. marypearson
Staff Leigh Posted July 14, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 14, 2015 Welcome to the forums chetko! We should have a trial version available in about 4 weeks for you to try. When we have more information, we'll let everyone know. Hope this helps! :) Elf and marypearson
PLMan
I was tried beta of Affinity Designer. Now I would like to try Trial but it shows that trial period is over. Probably it counts from time when Beta was first time used.
marypearson
Thank you for the information. I am signed up to receive notifications. Looking forward to the trial version. I have Photoshop Elements but it is lacking the tools for tracking and kerning text. I'd like to know if this app is able to do that before I consider buying. Staff MattP Posted July 17, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 17, 2015 Hi marypearson, Affinity products have very good control over text - and it will continue to improve. We are keen to make sure there are no roadblocks for people making beautiful text - don't forget that our third product in the suite (currently in development) is Affinity Publisher which is obviously very focused on text handling, so all our products must support these features. At present, yes we do have tracking and kerning but also things like OpenType with alternates, ligatures, swashes, etc. Thanks, Matt
