Studiolink not working

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

working on a Mac (OS X 10.12.6) I own all three Apps, all sitting in my Applications-Folder, all three on Version 1.7.3 ans as I read in other Threads, I opened Designer and Photo first, then closed them, started Publisher. I also tried different orders, also with all 3 started. But clicking on one of the Studiolink buttons just opens a window where is written, that the Apps must be started and a greyed out button to purchase.

Should work. When all else fails I fall back on Roy's advice from "The IT Crowd" 'Have you tried turning it off and on again' meaning the Mac. Also you say the three apps are in your Applications folder, are they in the top level or do you have them within a folder within the Applications folder?

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi Jora,

Welcome to the forums :)

If none of these suggestions work please could you try reinstalling Designer or Photo then launch the reinstalled app once and see if it now works in Studio Link.

Thanks

C

Yes it should. and since this is persistent, I restarted my Mac countless times. And the apps are top level in applications folder.

Afaik photo and publisher must be started once to make studiolink work.

As I wrote in my first post, all of the apps where opened and closed and also running in all possible orders.

Thank you for your welcome, I will try it this morning and report back.

Edit:

Thanks, this worked, had to reinstall Designer and Photo. I thought I could avoid reinstalling 2 apps, but in the end I should have done it earlier ...
