Printing Transparent Background Border

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was wondering how to print a box around the border of the transparent background in Affinity Designer. Suppose I have an image (layer) and I have it just inside of the transparent background, I want to be able to see how much smaller the layer image is relative to the image size. Is there a setting when printing that will allow me to print the transparent background with an outline?

Thanks,

lai

Hi lai1 :)

My apologies, I'm not 100% certain what you're trying to achieve here - could you please provide a screenshot or .afdesign file detailing this?

Are you trying to determine the layer's size and compare this to your overall document size?

There's no direct setting that I'm aware of, but if I'm understanding your document correctly you should be able to add a rectangle around the document and then use the Stroke Studio to create the outline that you wish to be printed.

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
