Aardo
I have this simple question. In Affinity Designer, what is the exported EPS file's version? Is it EPS version 3, or anything else/newer?

Aardo
Not exactly. I mean the EPS specification version. I know from Illustrator, that I could save EPS 3 or EPS 8 or other version. I need to know which version does Affinity Designer export. Which specification version?
Fritz_H
@Aardo I have never heard of a Postscript-Level higher than Level 3. Why should there be a higher Level for EPS (= Encapsulated PostScript) the german Wikipedia-Page for EPS states that EPS is outdated since PDF and also offers a link to the Adobe reference documents: https://www.adobe.com/devnet/postscript.html The "newest" document is 16 years old. I don´t think there is something like "EPS Level 8"; perhaps Adobe refers to "Illustrator 8" ? kind regards Fritz mac_heibu
Aardo
@Fritz_H I think you are right that PostScript level 3 is the latest version.
Ghazali Tajuddin
If you artwork in flat design, you can use postcript level 2. Resterize nothing.
ashf
EPS 3 or EPS 8 is the term that microstock sites are using. That's actually Illustrator 3 EPS or Illustrator 8 EPS. Not pure EPS. Though I guess PS level2 = EPS3, PS level 3 =EPS8.
