onno-r
Unable to open a tif, either Photoshop made or AP. Not when creating a new file and then 'open', not when dragging a file to the dock icon. Not when going to 'open...' Opening a regular APhoto file works and I'm warned about the beta status. When opening a pdf it works like normal. A png also.
walt.farrell
From "I'm warned about the beta status" it sounds like perhaps you're using the beta version of Affinity Photo. That's not completely clear from your post, and it's important because you've posted in the Bugs forum, which is for bugs experienced using the retail version (not the beta version). For issues using the beta version, on MacOS, the Photo Beta on Mac forum should be used. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.

Hello onto-r, You comment above from your post leads me to think you are using Photo beta? If so then this is a known bug in the current 1.8.163 beta build.
