Publisher crashes with particular document

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

Interesting issue here: one of my document makes Publisher crash immediately when I try to move/delete a text frame. And it seems to me it is related to pinned images in my text. It started after I had almost all of my images pinned, it stopped after I removed all pinned images and groups (I have some groups with a few images and a text frame). Well technically, I made a new document with the text and left the images away, as deleting a pinned image from the old file also crashes Publisher. I tried unpinning and deleting afterwards, that seemed to work for certain images, but not for all.

Publisher versions affected: 1.7.3 (macOS and Windows, I normally work on macOS Mojave but tried editing my document under Windows 10) and the current beta 1.8.0 (macOS)

Can I send you the file for further issue tracking? Try to delete the first frame on page 2: guaranteed crash :-)

best wishes, Serge

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Instant crash when deleting a text frame) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you,
