Help for a newbie to Affinity ipad

Hi, 

I’m trying to erase items from photos on Affinity for IPad. I know where the “erase tool” is, however, when I select it, I can’t do anything on the photo. What button am I forgetting to press?

Also, can I use the Apple Pencil with Affinity?

Welcome to the forums

To remove the selected area go back to the Photo persona and then from the Command menu select Pasteboard and then Cut and the selected area will then be removed

Yes you can, in fact I prefer the accuracy of the pencil and it’s ease of use.

I’m going to really sound rookie here but I can’t find the Command menu, much less a Pasteboard. Thanks

Press and hold question mark to find descriptions of each tool.

I show here the erase tool which literally wipes parts of the photo out. Since I suspect you didn’t mean this I show you also the inpainting tool erase parts of the photo.
