I'm a refugee from PagePlus, so please bear with me while I try to get my head around new and different features. I produce a quarterly newsletter for my Club and am frequently sent articles in pdf format. How do I integrate these pdf files into my newsletter? I accept I can open them but then I get a new afpub file. This doesn't help, unless there's a way of integrating two afpub files? Suggestions please. Thank you.

Phil

1. You already can place a PDF and select which page to show.

2. In upcoming 1.8 (still in beta) you can add pages from other sources into existing APu document.

Thanks Joachim.  That nearly worked :). By dragging the file from Windows Explorer onto a new afp page in my document I got the first of the pdf pages OK, but not the other two?? Am I doing this the right way?

If you place a PDF you can only place one page at a time. So if the PDF has 3 pages you have to duplicated the placed PDF two times and then select the page to be shown from the top context tool bar.

Oops - spoke too soon. I found the "Place" command in the file menu and used it to place my pdf file - 3 pages. As before, the first page is fine. I then duplicated it twice, as you said, so now I have three identical pages. How do I use the context toolbar to change pages 2 and 3 into the correct pdf pages 2 and 3?

Click on the placed PDF with the Move tool and have a look at the attached screenshot.

Perhaps it is a render bug. Try to zoom in and out. At some magnification the correct page will be displayed. To be sure, save the document, close and open it again. This bug seems to be fixed in the betas.

Didn't help :(

However, when I double-clicked page 1 I got this "file" labelled embedded. (see attachment). Wherever it's embedded into I don't know, but it certailnly isn't in my original document. Puzzled.
