Pam
I've been emailing Affinity and it seems that we are going in circles. I'm getting frustrated because the people who are supposed to be helping are not reading past email correspondence on the email thread, and then suggest things that have already been tried, sometimes 2 - 3 times. There's no reason in common for the crashes. I'm usually working on a new image. I cannot open Beta after it's downloaded. I see the pop-up logo image presented before Affinity opens, but it goes no further. I uninstalled the original version and downloaded a "new" Affinity Photo app from the mac store. Upon opening the first time, I held down CNRTL key to clear all. Sometimes it crashes with 10 min of being open, sometimes 90 minutes, sometimes 2-3 hours. PLEASE, Please, please... let's fix this with a new possible solution?

Staff Chris B Posted January 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 24, 2020 Hi Pam, I appreciate you cannot see a connection between crashes but could we start by getting some additional details from you, please? What OS are you on? What type of Mac are you using and what are its specs Is Metal compute enabled from Preferences > Performance What type of images do you work with—can you attach one? What type of work do you normally do? Do you paint, collage (potentially hundreds of layers and effects etc.) Can you attach some crash reports? It may be worth waiting to attach a few so we can see if they are linked Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
